TWO (2) ROBOTERIA events coming?! This Summer? It’s true! And sooner than you think!
I let the cat out of the bag last week with a “sneak preview” flyer that didn’t get cleared with the other acts or the host venue, but if you joined us for our special April event, you’ll have some idea where to go for this one.
Also, stay tuned for another great night, where ROBOTERIA teams up with a favourite local music collective, and one of our ROBOTERIA DJ’s “other nights” for something you’re just gonna have to… Well, you won’t have to wait long. Expect this event to be announced by Tuesday this week!
ROBOTERIA is basically going to be a part of TWO separate, two-room events coming soon. We’re still waiting for an official release about August 4th, but I’m very excited about both nights.

Spaced-out, lower-tempo italo, cosmic disco, new wave audio anomalies. Inspired by precision funk acts like Metro Area, the nu-disco of Holy Ghost!, the likes of underground Italian DJs such as Danielle Baldelli, and even the Belgian New Beat movement of the ’80s. “Slower” doesn’t always mean “softer”.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GIORGIO!!
OK, it’ll be a day late, but ROBOTERIA will be celebrating the 72nd birthday of electronic music pioneer GIORGIO MORODER tonight at our special Waldorf Edition event, with Portland, Oregon’s queer mutiny butt pirates BLOWPONY in the Cabaret! ROBOTERIA’s happening in the Hideaway Room, with WAXWORK, MANOS, & TAFFI LOUIS spinning, and some servomechanically enhanced visual stimuli & decor in effect! Word on the street, there’s even a birthday cake in Moroder’s honour, but you’ll have to act fast if you want a piece!

Every week, Bottom Forty is a mirror ball in New York, a basement in Chicago, a cruise in L.A. and a night in the desert.
Under the same name, Bottom Forty is also the creation and home base of Seattle’s first queers only DJ Collective, contributed to only by the highest caliber of queer musicians who vehemently stick to their integrity and prowess in musical selections and mixing.
